How to Install Sound Distorting Materials in a Car

Always use the roller to get rid of the air bubbles. The degree of adhesion to the surface area is the aspect of Sound Deadening quality that ranks second in importance. For the material to remain in place, it must be properly adhered.

Roller by hand: To get to the vehicle's smaller surfaces, we highly recommend using a small roller. These are available on Amazon and most online retailers. Rollers made of wood, rubber, or metal are available; we recommend rubber or wood, but avoid metal because it can tear the material. Utility Knife: The material is cut by the utility blade. If it's a big job, make sure you have extra blades on hand and cut the material on top of a piece of cardboard to keep your blade sharper for longer.

There are two ways our Sound Deadening Mats is available for purchase: rolled up, large sheet that can be easily cut to fit professional kits. Sound deadener installation is possible if you can measure, cut, peel, and stick! When positioning the material, you can apply pressure with your hand and then use a roller to ensure that it adheres to the metal surface. Some customers find it easier to peel off a small portion of the release liner before applying it to a metal surface and then work their way across the sheet, peeling off a small section at a time, after cutting the material and getting ready to stick it on.

Alcohol denatured by rags: Clean the metal surfaces you will be applying the material to with the alcohol-soaked rag. Gloves: Although installing our product without gloves is relatively risk-free, we recommend using gloves if you have never done so before.
